After several online coordination meetings, members of the three partner associations finally met in person in Benevento (Italy), in May 2022. They got to know each other, present the activity of our associations and work on the organisation and contents of the project.
Francesca Gerardo and Donato de Marco, from Gramigna, Odile Jacquemin, Jean-Lous Pacitto, Maeva Inghels and Franck Michalowski, from Maltae, and Fernando Lobato Amenedo and Beatriz Cárcamo Aboitiz, from Asonautas, worked together for three days, sharing ideas and experiences. Much of the work was carried out at the agri-tourism La Cinta, but the partners did also field visits and held meetings with relevant stakeholders:
- Engineer Vincenzo Raffa, who has been involved as an advisor in the very first energy communities developed in Italy and is the author of the book “Generazione di energia distribuita e comunità energetiche”, received the partners at the premises of Friendly Power in Benevento, where they were able to discuss the subject.
- Partners could also visit Il Poggio winery in Torrecuso, a family-owned business producing PDO and PGI wines from mostly native grape varieties.
- Projects carried out by Gramigna and the agricultural cooperative Lentamente, such as the urban gardens in Benevento, by the social cooperative La Solidarietà, such as the Caffé dell’Orto, and by the consortium of cooperatives Sale de la Terra, were also the target of different visits.
